‘Practicing Muslim’ CBSA officer detains MCC president at US-Canada border

August 16th, 2013

The Muslim Canadian Congress (MCC) has asked the Minister of Public Safety Steven Blaney and the head of  Canada’s Border Security Agency, Luc Portelance to investigate an incident at the Niagara Falls border crossing where a CBSA officer describing himself as a ‘practicing Muslim’, detained and harassed the president of the MCC and his family including a 4-year old child.

“It appears I was specifically targeted by this Muslim officer because I and the MCC have been at the forefront of exposing the Islamist agenda in Canada and the USA,” said Mumtaz Khan in his letter to Minister Blaney and CBSA president Luc Portelance.

Victory! City of Dearborn Apologizes for Arresting Christians at 2010 Arab Festival; Settlement Reached in Lawsuit

May 6th, 2013

In June of 2010, a few of us were on our way out of Dearborn’s annual Arab International Festival, when some young Muslims began asking us questions, which we were happy  to answer. Here’s unedited footage of our last 20 minutes or so at the  festival:

Nearly three years later, thanks to our lawyers Robert Muise and David  Yerushalmi, the City of Dearborn has apologized for arresting us.

Detroit, Michigan (May 6, 2012) — After more than two years of  intense motion practice and discovery, the City of Dearborn has agreed  to enter into a settlement that includes a public apology for arresting  several Christian missionaries who were peacefully preaching to Muslims  at the Dearborn Arab International Festival in 2010. The American  Freedom Law Center (AFLC), a national nonprofit Judeo-Christian law  firm, is representing Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, David Wood, and Paul Rezkalla, who were thrown in jail on June 18, 2010, and charged with “breach of  the peace” for their free speech activity.

Excluding Jews and Others from Juries

March 13th, 2013

Comes the news that Frederick Cohn, the Jewish defense lawyer for Abdel Hameed Shehadeh, asked Brooklyn-based federal judge Eric Vitaliano to exclude Jews from the jury. Shehadeh is charged with three counts of making false statements in connection with his attempts to join jihadis in Pakistan. “Your Honor” Cohn explained in February, “I’m not wild about having Jews on the jury in this case. Given that there’s going to be inflammatory testimony about Jews and Zionism, I think it would be hard for Jews to cast aside any innate antipathy. The American Jewish community is heavily aligned with Israel and Zionism.”

A boy named “Jihad” born on 9/11 was dressed in a ‘I am a bomb’ top by his Mom

March 7th, 2013

Lawyer Gaelle Genoun (right) leaves Avignon’s courthouse on December 19, 2012, with the mother of a three-year old Jihad.

The mother and uncle of a three-year old named Jihad, who was born on September 11, were due in a French court on Wednesday for sending him to school in a top with “I am a bomb” written on it.

The sweatshirt also had the words “Jihad, born on September 11” emblazoned on the back when he turned up at his nursery school in the southern town of Sorgues on September 25.

The family and their supporters claim it was a harmless attempt at humour but they were charged with condoning a crime over the alleged reference to the 9/11 attacks on New York’s twin towers in 2001.

Their trial, due to take place in December but adjourned until March 6, will take place in the town of Avignon.
