There's a new side of the story that you haven't heard.
Live from Gaza….. It’s Saturday Night Live!
I’ve long been accused of being an avid “news junkie” – guilty as charged I guess….. But I may lose my fix if we don’t support newspapers.
The internet is not just killing the newspaper, but journalism and information in general. I too read a lot of news online, as do most of you I’m sure. However, the revenue that is generated by online advertising is not sufficient enough to maintain a staff of talented journalists and news writers.
The dwindling newspaper sales are still the largest source of revenue for most publishers, but with increasing numbers of people choosing to read their news online, there is less money for trustworthy and reliable journalism.
It costs a lot of money to send journalists all over the world to research the stories and reports we need to be an informed and well functioning democracy.
Buy a newspaper now and again, better yet, get a subscription. Pay for online content when possible such as is the case with Sun News plus, the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times online edition, click on ads, etc. Anything you can do to support information is appreciated.

Andrew Bolt from The Telegraph in Sydney Austrailia helps Richard Dawkins with his memory after a recent interview with Al-Jazeerah…..
In a recent Al-Jazeerah interview, Richard Dawkins was asked his views on God. He argued that the god of “the Old Testament” is “hideous” and “a monster”, and reiterated his claim from The God Delusion that the God of the Torah is the most unpleasant character “in fiction”.
Asked if he thought the same of the God of the Koran, Dawkins ducked the question, saying: “Well, um, the God of the Koran I don’t know so much about.”
How can it be that the world’s most fearless atheist, celebrated for his strident opinions on the Christian and Jewish Gods, could profess to know so little about the God of the Koran? Has he not had the time? Or is Professor Dawkins simply demonstrating that most crucial trait of his species: survival instinct.
Oh how fun it is to rip on Christians and Jews…..
